My girls LOVE to picnic. I like not having crumbs and fresh smears on my carpeted(!) dining room floor, and I love the change of pace and extra fresh air.

Our awesome new neighbors have inspired us to spend a lot more time playing and eating on our shared front lawn at lunchtime, and we’ve started having fairly frequent picnic dinners at the park, meeting up with Scott when he gets off work.

We just pack up all our regular dishes and whatever we were planning on eating anyway (I’ve learned that nearly everything is portable) and head outside to find a likely table or a spot for our blanket on the grass.

If we’re picnicking out front, I’ll still often put Caitlyn in her high chair so she can be in the thick of the action without sitting (repeatedly) on other people’s sandwiches.

Sometimes we even get out there when it’s chilly.

But those picnics tend to be shorter.

Glad to catch up….I’ve been a terrible blogger lately and even worse at looking at other peoples blogs. Looks like all is well!
